near Arantagi. The

its sanctity is
known for its architectural
brilliance and skillful

 This
temple is an important
Sivasthala. The

is not clearly known,
however it can be
believed that the
temple was constructed
by Saint Manickavachakar.
There is a Konrai
tree which has been
copper plated on
the trunk to protect
from natural calamities.
The Konrai tree
is the Sthala Vrikhsa
of the temple. The
idol of Saint Manickavachakar
is also worshipped
here. There are
a lot of carvings
and paintings in
the temple which
has been done with
great expertise.
The Mandapam has
been constructed
with stone in one

good that it looks
like wood. The temple
looks more beautiful
at sunset when the

the sanctum sanctorum.
